在揭曉全球年度熱搜關鍵字排行榜單之前，Google率先揭曉YouTube年度最熱門影片，以及年度最佳廣告影片排行，其中顯示美式足球聯盟年度冠軍賽超級杯 (Super Bowl)確實帶來顯著關注。
Google稍早揭曉YouTube年度最佳熱門影片與年度最佳廣告影片排行，並且與超過150位YouTube創作者一同藉由影片回顧今年熱門話題。
此外，與台灣地區同樣有不少人透過YouTube回顧電視話題內容，在YouTube年度最熱門影片中不少比例也與電視內容或廣告相關。而根據Google統計數據，這些創作者所提供影片時間長度總計長達2500萬小時，同時頻道訂閱用戶人數總計達4000萬名。
而在音樂影片部分，Wiz Khalifa的《See You Again》在半年內累積達10億觀看次數，而Adele近期新歌《Hello》更是在短短幾週內名列熱門音樂影片榜單。而在列入前10位的音樂影片頻道總計累積超過6600萬名訂閱用戶，同時在2015年累積播放時間長度總計達3萬7000年。
