× is multiplied by 乘號(較常用times)
÷ is divided by 除號

≠ is not equal to 不等於
≡ is equivalent to 全等
≌ is equal to or approximately equal to 等於、約等於
≈ is approximately equal to 約等於

＞ is more than 大於
≤ is less than or equal to 小於等於

一般的應用方法:

加法: Plus (prep.)

1 + 2 = 3 (One plus two equals/is three.) 在這篇要注意的是plus是當作介系詞來用，故後面需要有一個動詞，可用equal/be.V來做搭配

減法 Minus (prep.)

5-2=3 Five minus two is/leaves/equals three.

乘法 Times (prep.)(注意:有加 s !)

2x5=10 Two times five is/makes/equals ten. 不過在講面積時, 則用 by 來代表乘號像 4 x 5 吋是說 four by five inches

除法 Divided by…

12/3=4 Twelve divided by three is (=equals) four. 在這邊除了除法外，其餘皆是用介系詞! 雖然 add 有 ”加” 的意思，subtract 有”減”的意思, multiply 是 ”乘”的意義，但它們都是動詞, 所以用法和前面那些介系詞完全不一樣一般人也都是用介系詞來簡單的說就可以了! 此外方根的用法也很常用: x的二次方 x squared / x (raised) to the power 2 x的三次方 x cubed x的四次方 x to the fourth / x to the power 4 x的n次方 x to the nth / x to the power n x的平方根(square) root x / the square root of x x的三次根cube root (of) x x的四次根fourth root (of) x x的n次根nth root (of) x 實作: 在此附註一篇教大家長除法的影片，在影片中的單字和說法都可以應用在生活中喔!
