由於歐盟USB Type-C通用充電法規已開始實施，仍在使用Lightning介面的iPhone SE也已經自歐盟地區的通路下架，蘋果推出新款iPhone SE可說是勢在必行；根據彭博社專欄作家Mark Gurman指稱，蘋果應該會在2025年4月公布第四世代的iPhone SE，另外也可能推出支援Apple Intelligense的新款iPad。

根據Mark Gurman的說法，目前iPhone SE正處在進行iOS 18.3系統測試階段，預期會在蘋果推出iOS 18.4更新前上市，也就是在四月份推出；另外Mark Gurman還提到可能也會有幾款新的iPad產品在差不多的時間公布，有可能是標準iPad與iPad Air，支援Apple Intelligense也意味著新款iPad產品將至少配有8GB記憶體。
新款iPhone SE據稱可能會更名為iPhone 16E，外型酷似iPhone 14，配有6.1吋Super Retina XDR OLED顯示器與Face ID技術，除了搭配Apple A18處理器，也會搭載8GB的記憶體以便支援Apple Intelligense，另外將維持單鏡頭配置，搭載48MP主鏡頭，價格可能會落在499美金起。
