AMD原定於2024年7月底正式推出Ryzen 9000系列桌上型處理器，不過在上市倒數一周前夕，AMD資深副總裁暨運算與圖形總經理Jack Huynh透過個人X(原Twitter)公告上市時間將順延至8月，預計8月8日將率先推出理論上僅需一組CCD的Ryzen 7 9700X與Ryzen 5 9600X，而旗艦級雙CCD的Ryzen 9 9950X與Ryzen 9 9900X則將在8月15日上市。

根據Jack Huynh的說法，主要是送往通路夥伴的首批量產Ryzen 9000的品質並未達到AMD的預期，考慮到風險與用戶體驗，AMD決定以新生產的批次取代已經出貨的首批量產品，也因此不得不順延Ryzen 9000的上市時間。
