根據報導，美國連鎖戲院Alamo Drafthouse原本開心地邀請民眾在戲院跨年，卻在2023年的最後一刻遭遇技術問題，官方社群宣稱由於採用的Sony劇院投影機產發生技術性問題，導致無法順利放映電影，同時被迫暫停其中5家戲院的營業，不過截至美國時間2024年1月2日已經恢復營運。Sony於2020年宣布退出投影機產品，同時所有的產品已停產。
