答案詳解

(A) provides

 

假設這裡的關係子句是 that provides discounts for lunch，其實文法也對，代表這個關係子句是用來修飾前面的「第三人稱單數名詞」area（區域）。

但仔細想想，area（區域）怎麼會提供午餐優惠呢？不會嘛，只有更前面的「複數名詞」 cafes（咖啡廳）才會提供午餐優惠。

由此可知，後面的關係子句應該要寫成 that provide discounts for lunch 用來修飾前面的「複數名詞」cafes（咖啡廳）。

 

...cafes...that provide discounts for lunch 就是「提供午餐優惠的咖啡廳」。
