連假過著過著就沒了（傷心～），在緊抓著假期尾巴的同時，你是否已準備好向同事或同學分享你的假期呢？有人去了幾個景點參訪踏青、有人待在家追劇，還有人發生一些預期之外的小插曲，快跟著我們一一破解，看看這些經驗要怎麼用英文表達吧！
● 英文話題這樣問
◎ How was your vacation? 你的假期過得怎麼樣？
通常要問「...如何？」的時候，最常會用到疑問詞 how 了！當你好奇別人的假期好不好玩、過得如何的時候，這句就很實用喔！
How was your vacation? I remember you said you were going to San Francisco this time.
（你的假期過得怎麼樣？我記得你說這次你要去舊金山。）
◎ How did your holidays go? 你的節日過得如何？
這裡的 go 可不是「走」的意思喔，它在這裡是指「進行、進展」，因此 How did your holidays go? 就是在問「你的節日進行得如何？」也就是「你的節日過得如何」的意思，這是除了 "How was your vacation?" 以外，另一個意思類似的用法。
How did your holidays go? Was it fun?
（你的節日過得如何？好玩嗎？）
◎ How did you spend your vacation? 你怎麼過你的假期的？
前面提到 how 是用來表示「如何」，那你要問別人「如何過假期」的話，可以這樣問：
A: How did you spend your vacation?（你怎麼過你的假期的？）
B: I went to Yilan with my family, and we took a hot spring bath there. It was really relaxing!（我跟我家人去宜蘭，我們還在那裡泡溫泉。那真的超放鬆！）
◎ Did you go anywhere while on vacation? 你在假期期間有沒有去哪裡玩呀？
例如：Hey Todd. Did you go anywhere while on vacation?
（嘿，Todd。你在假期期間有沒有去哪裡玩？）
◎ Anything fun happen during your vacation? 假期期間有沒有發生什麼有趣的事情？
口語上可以接受這種結構不完整的句子，但是寫作或是正式場合就要避免囉，這句的最完整講法是：Did anything fun happen during your vacation?
A: Anything fun happen during your vacation?（假期期間有沒有發生什麼有趣的事情？）
B: Nah. I stayed home and watched a TV series all day long.（沒。我整天都待在家看影集。）
● 英文話題這樣答
◎ It was awesome! I went to…超讚的！我去了...
如果你的假期過得很棒的話，你可以用其他形容詞來代替 awesome，例如：great, amazing, fantastic, terrific 等等。或是直接說 It couldn’t be better!（超棒的！），例如：
A: How were your holidays?（你的節日過得怎麼樣？）
B: It couldn’t be better! I went to a lot of exhibitions and movies. And I finally got time to go hiking in the mountains. I feel really energized coming back to work.（超棒的！我去看了很多展覽跟電影。而且我終於有機會可以去山間健行。我回來工作時真的有感到充飽電。）
◎ That was a total disaster. We…那完全是場災難。我們...
A: You said you were going back to your hometown for a family reunion dinner. How did it go?（你說你要回你家鄉去吃團圓飯。結果怎麼樣了？）
B: Forget about it. That was a total disaster. We were stuck in a traffic jam for five hours, and our car broke down before we got there. The worst part is that after we arrived, my daughter wasn’t feeling well because of the food she ate. So basically we didn’t have any fun during the vacation.（別提了。那完全是場大災難。我們塞車塞了五個小時，而且我們的車在我們抵達目的地之前還拋錨。最糟糕的是在我們抵達之後，我的女兒因為她吃的食物而感到不舒服。所以說我們假期基本上過得不太開心。）
◎ You have no idea how crazy it was! 你都不知道那多瘋狂！
當你想要充滿戲劇性地描述你的假期多瘋狂、多不可思議的時候，你可以這樣說：
A: How was the New Year’s party?（新年派對怎麼樣？）
B: You have no idea how crazy it was! We partied until 3 or 4 a.m. and went to see the sunrise. After that, we went to a karaoke bar until evening. We were awake for more than 24 hours. It was so fun!（你都不知道那有多瘋狂！我們派對開到凌晨三點還是四點，然後還去看日出。在那之後，我們去唱卡拉 OK 唱到傍晚。我們醒著超過 24 小時。超好玩的！）
◎ Amazing! Remember I told you I was gonna…? It turned out...超棒的！記不記得我跟你說我要...？結果...
這種同樣也是口語上輕鬆但不完整的說法喔，完整要說：It was amazing! Do you remember I told you…? 那前面的 amazing 同樣可以用 great, amazing, fantastic, terrific...等形容詞替換。例如：
Terrific! Remember I told you I was gonna go mountain climbing with my husband’s family? I thought it would be boring, but it turned out to be really fun. I enjoyed the peace and quiet in nature, and I think I’ll try again if I have time.
（超棒的！你記得我說我要跟我老公的家人去爬山嗎？我以為會很無聊，但結果非常有趣。我很享受大自然的靜謐，我覺得我有時間的話會再試一次的。）
