CEATEC 2018 :看好電動車與工業市場需求, ROHM 盼以高品質、抗干擾的類比技術放眼未來

可能是因為在 ROHM 羅姆半導體 MUS-IC 攤位站了太久加上又是使用英文溝通,後來 ROHM 也特地請了會講中文的 ROHM 中國的支援參展窗口幫忙做比較詳細的介紹,雖然 ROHM 這幾年狀況不錯,不過這家京都老字號也在幾年前面臨市場轉型的衝擊,不過總算是在新市場找到了方向,而今年參展的重心則放在車用相關、尤其是次世代電動車相關領域的技術,以及工業相關的應用。

由於電動車的高度電化與物聯網化,對於電源的要求更高,也需要高品質的功率放大與抗干擾能力,畢竟電動車的電力供給相當複雜,加上還有無線訊號的干擾現象,不穩定的訊號放大小則產生一時的機件故障,大則可能發生危險事故, ROHM 也展示了旗下超低噪音的車用 CMOS Op Amp ,以及抗 EMI 的 Op Amp ,因應在複雜的新世代車輛環境提供穩定的訊號放大。

另外,由於電動車的電池特性,也相當依賴逆變器與整流器進行直流轉交流或是交流轉直流, ROHM 除了供應給不少充電器相關產品外,其逆變器系統也順利自上一季切入目前電動車競賽最高峰的 Formula E ,從獲得 Vinturi 車隊採用後也陸續獲得更多車隊選用,透過 ROHM 的 SiC SBD 較第二季傳統架構逆變器大幅縮減體積與重量,而這一季提供給 Formula 的新版逆變器更大量採用 ROHM SiC 方案,又比前一季的逆變器更小巧,若比起第二季的傳統逆變器重量降低達 6 公斤,體積也少了 43% ,也有助於車身減重以及藉更小的體積提供更多車內空間的配置彈性,預計年底展開的 Formula E 將使用新版的逆變器,也預計能進一步減輕重量與體積。

而在工業應用方面, ROHM 展示一項針對特殊環境的電容式開關,這項技術是針對家電所設計,但同樣可應用在工業用場合;過往電容開關用於家電都會擔心萬一碰到水會有干擾現象,故多半牽涉到可能會沾擾到水份的家電如電鍋、電子鍋、電磁爐仍偏向使用機械式開關,但 ROHM 的電容開關技術可分辨水與手指觸控的差異,避免產生誤觸,亦可辨別用毛巾擦拭表面殘留水時不會導致誤觸,同時這項電容開關亦可設計為曲面,能滿足不同外形設計的家電使用,用於工業領域亦可避免傳統機械式開關在多次按壓後可能影響防水結構的問題。

另一項應用對於日本人與台灣人應該會很有感,是低成本的地震偵測器模組,僅有 11 x 9 x 2mm ,並只要透過太陽能就可驅動,上面搭載加速度計與 MCU ,利用加速度計與演算邏輯,作為分析地震的方式,同時亦可避免誤判如有人刻意搖晃或是裝有感測模組的器材受到外力撞擊,能以相當低的成本實現 97.6% 的地震感測,而 ROHM 的案例則是透過安裝在具備太陽能板、且日本四處可見的販賣機上,作為地震感測與通報的平台,同時省電的平台僅需太陽能即可運作,一但發生影響電力傳送的大型災害仍可繼續運作。

至於這幾年在 CEATEC 多次展示的飛行紙鶴,則是由 ROHM 成立的數位技術子公司 LAPIS 的 MCU 驅動,在歷經 2015 年至今,每年展示的飛行器也不斷變化,今年展示的版本為模仿蜻蜓的四翼型飛行器,突破往年的雙翼紙鶴設計。 LAPIS 對於 ROHM 是相當重要的轉型項目,為原本專精於類比技術的 ROHM 增添數位技術,同時 MCU 亦是近年在市場上相當被看重的晶片,能與 ROHM 的類比強項相互結合。
